Operation HOPE-North County is a unique shelter in that families are offered a private family bedroom as well as a single women’s shared bedroom. This allows families to begin reclaiming a stable family dynamic immediately which enhances the ability to recover their self-sufficiency.
The facility accommodates forty-five individuals and offers laundry, shower, computer banks, playground and courtyard, and conference room for Homework Club activities and adult education classes. All case management is performed on-site in order to raise client accountability and to better assist clients in progressing toward the next step in ending their homelessness.
Program Highlights Include:
A safe, drug and alcohol free environment.
Specialized case management and guidance in constructing a personalized treatment plan with attainable self-sufficiency goals.
Classes on financial health including budgeting and credit recovery, Resume Building and Improved Employment Skills, Healthy Relationships and Communication, Nutrition and Healthy Living and Parenting which offer clients the tools to sustain their new life
Hot dinners, cereal for breakfast and leftovers/donations for lunch
Children’s Homework Club and Enrichment Activities
Operation HOPE-North County’s goal is that every client who works their case management plan will leave our facility with a housing plan intact as well as the tools to maintain independence.
